Planina Dol - Gradišče (Velika planina)

Access to the starting point:
First, we drive to Kamnik, then continue our drive towards the Črnivec Pass. Just 100 m before the pass, we see signs for Kranjski Rak, which direct us sharp left onto a narrow and initially quite steep road. The road is then higher and leads to the Volovjek Pass, where, just after the Kranjski Rak guesthouse, turn left onto the road in the route Velika planina. Continue along the dirt road, which leads you higher up to the next slightly larger crossroads. Continue to the right (straight ahead mountain pasture Kisovec) and follow the moderately ascending road past the Ušivec parking lot. From the parking lot continue along the slightly worse macadam road, which at the crossroads you follow in the route mountain pasture Dol. After a while the road starts to descend steeply, and we follow it to a marked parking lot near mountain pasture Dol.
From the Savinjska valley, we first drive to Luce, and then continue on towards Kamnik. When you reach the Volovjek (Kranjski Rak) pass, turn right in the route Velika planina. Continue following the above description.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the dirt road, which descends only slightly towards the western part of mountain pasture. After a few minutes of easy walking, you will see a shepherd's hut on the left, and we continue along the dirt road for another 10 m to where we see the markers for Konja and Velika on a tree mountain pasture. Continue left here (right Konj) and after a short ascent reach the shepherd's huts at mountain pasture Dol.
From the shepherd's huts at mountain pasture, climb past the cross to the edge of the forest, then continue the climb along the path ascending through the forest. Higher up, the forest becomes increasingly sparse and after about 30 minutes of climbing from mountain pasture down, the path leads us to mountain pasture Konjščica, which opens up a view towards nearby Rzenik.
The ascent continues along a gently sloping, partly grassy path, which climbs only slightly to the south. The increasingly scenic route, which offers views of the central Grintovci, soon leads us to a forest road, where we arrive at a well-marked crossroads. Continue to the right in the direction of the Zeleni Rob guesthouse (to the left, the Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows, Domžale lodge, Črnuški lodge. . . ) along the road which, after a further 50 m of walking, leads us to the next crossroads. This time we continue along the cart track in the direction of "Rože vrhov", which climbs steeply past numerous shepherd's-holiday cottages. The path soon flattens out and leads to a grassy level from which the highest peak, Velika planina, is already clearly visible, only to be reached after a minute's further walking.
In the fog, orientation from mountain pasture Konjščica to the summit is very difficult.
