Pod Skalnico - Vodice

Access to the starting point:
From Tolmin or Nova Gorica, drive to Solkan, from where you continue to Sveti Gora. Turn left at the first sharp right turn and park in the parking lot near the main road.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the wide mulatier, which climbs gently to the north-west. After a good half-hour walk, we are pleasantly surprised by a small spring on the side of the path, where we can take a refreshing drink. The path soon after the well, climbs a little more and after a few minutes of climbing leads us to a forest road, where we continue to the right. Follow this road to the first crossroads, at which you will see mountain signs. Continue in the route Vodice, following the road on the left, which you leave after a few dozen steps, as the markings direct you left onto a footpath that climbs, following the gently sloping south-east ridge of Vodice. The path, which passes through the area where the battles of World War I took place, leads to the top of Vodice after a 20-minute walk.
PS: On the Goriško 1:50. 000 map (Kod&Kam) the path is marked as marked, but this is not the case until the junction 20 minutes below the summit.
