Podpeca (Helenski potok) - Koča na Pikovem

Access to the starting point:
a) Take the Črna na Koroškem exit from the roundabout in the centre of the town towards Koprivna. At the next crossroads, take a slight right to cross the Meža River over a bridge and then continue along the Meža River. Črna na Koroškem then ends, and we drive to the 5. 5 km road marker, where we park in a convenient roadside parking spot before crossing the Heleni brok.
b) Drive into Solčava, then follow the signs for Črna na Koroškem. Then ascend to the Spodnje Sleme pass, and from there descend to Koprivna. At a lower level, follow the Meži River and continue in the direction of Črna na Koroškem. When the road to Podpeca turns off to the left, we continue straight ahead and then park in the roadside parking lot after crossing the Helen's Brok. At the starting point, the road is marked 5. 5 km.

Path description:
From the starting point, walk to the nearby crossroads and continue in the direction of Podpeca, Pece and Pikovy. The asphalt path initially leads along the Helen's Brok, and after about 15 minutes you will reach the mining dwarf - Perkmandeljec.
From the goblin, we continue along the road along the Helen's Brok and soon reach a crossroads where a path branches off to the left across Mirjance to Pec, and we continue along the road that leads along the brok. Higher up, we pass a few homesteads and leave the main road at a point where we see signs for the Pori homestead.
Continue sharp right on the macadam road, which ascends and turns into a forest behind a few houses. While walking along the road, you will notice some faded markings which, before the road leaves the forest and turns into the pasture, direct you to the left into the forest, where you will follow the path cart track. We continue to follow the occasional old markings, and at a small crossroads we go left (the chapel on the right, and past the nearby farmhouse it is possible to descend back to the tarmac road) and continue walking along the edge of the forest. At a higher level, cross into the thick wods, and then climb up to Koča na Pikovem, by which the Church of St Helena stands.
