Access to the starting point:
From Dobrova, Horjul, Gorenje vas or Črni Vrho, drive to Polhov Gradec, more precisely to the crossroads by the main bus station in Polhov Gradec. Park in a suitable place near the station, preferably in the parking lot by the bridge over the river Božná.
Path description:
From the starting point, continue along the main road in the direction of Ljubljana for a short time, and then after the Gostilna pri Pratkarju, notice the mountain direction signs for Grmada, Belica, Katarina and Tošč, which direct us to the left, to the path that continues along the brick fence. After a short climb, step onto the asphalt road and follow it to the right, but walk along it for only a few steps, as the signs then lead you left, onto what is initially still quite a wide path. The path, from which we have a nice view of Polhov Gradec and St. Lovrenec, then passes into the forest and for some time climbs mostly crosswise. Higher up, we cross the stream of the Frjetův gráven, and then climb a few steps to a meadow where the path leads us along a wooden fence. The path across the meadow quickly leads us to a macadam road, which we follow to the right, and we walk along it for a minute or two to reach the Mountain Home on Ravnek.
We continue along the road for a short distance, and then the marked path crosses it a few times. Higher up, we return to the road, which leads us to the hamlet of Ravnek, where we arrive at a small crossroads behind the last house, where we continue slightly right (slightly left to St Ursula).
Only a few 10 steps further the road splits again, and this time we continue slightly left (slightly right unmarked path to Kucelj).
The path which has since changed from a road to a pleasant path leads us higher to the next crossroads, where the path from the village of Dvor joins us from the right. Continue left along the wide path which, after a few minutes of further walking, leads to a hunting lodge where the path splits into two parts.
From the hunting lodge, continue in the direction Grmada over Malo Grmada (the right "direct route" is also approximately the same length) on an increasingly steep path which begins to climb along and along an occasionally very scenic ridge. Higher up, the trail leads to the Grmada headland, where the second trail from Polhov Gradec (via Setnica and also the trail past St Ursula) joins from the left.
The path continues downhill, then turns to a rugged ridge, which continues with a few short ascents and descents. The path then leaves the ridge and turns slightly to the right, where it begins to climb steeply again. Follow this path, which is joined by the paths from Belica and Topol (also the direct path from Polhov Gradec past Ravnek), all the way to the lookout peak.
We can extend the trip to the following destinations: Tošč
