Prečna - Dom Frata

Access to the starting point:
a) Leave the Dolenjska motorway at the Novo mesto West exit, then follow the signs, first for Novo mesto, then for Prečno. Continue through Prečno, where you will pass the road turnoff to Dom Frata and Ajdovec. Cross the Temenica River, take the first road on the right after the bridge, then climb up to the parking area next to the former Lukna Club, where you park.
b) From Žužemberk or Črmošnjice drive to Straža, then follow the signs for Prečno. At the very beginning of Prečna, before crossing the Temenica River, the main road turns sharp left onto a road which ascends to the parking lot at the former Lukna Club.

Path description:
From the maroof or former Lukna Club, continue to the right, along the macadam road, which quickly leads to the right bank of the Temenice, and we continue a little further, to a marked crossroads by the ruins of Luknja Castle.
At the ruins, the path forks, and we can continue left up the initially steep path, which soon flattens out and turns slightly right, and then after a few minutes joins the asphalt road Prečna - Brezova Reber pri Dvoru, or we can continue right down to the dammed source of the Temenice, and from there climb up to the aforementioned asphalt road.
When you reach the asphalt road, first continue from the crossroads towards Ajdovec (right Suhor and Kuzarjev Kal) and then follow the road, mostly climbing gently to moderately, and soon join the road coming from Vrhove near Mirna Peć.
Continue in the direction of Dom Frata, and at the next crossroads continue slightly left in the direction of Brezove Rebri (slightly right Dom Frata - access by car and Dolenji Globodol). Higher up, the forest thins out and the path opens up to a view of the nearby Golobinjek, and a little further on we reach two mighty linden trees (the trunk of the thicker linden tree measures 520 cm at chest height).
From the junction behind the two lime trees, continue right towards Ajdovec and Dvůr (Veliki Lipovec on the left) and continue for a few minutes along the pastureland and beautiful views. At the end of Brezova Reber, which you have passed on the lower side, continue straight on, then shortly turn right towards the marked path towards Dom Frata. There is a short descent on cart track, and then we continue for some time without any major changes in altitude. When you leave the forest, pass the NOB memorial and the registration box on your right and walk along the edge of the meadow to Dom Frata.
