Predgozd - Sveti Lenart (Krvava Peč)

Access to the starting point:
a) First drive to Ig and from there continue to Kureščko. Continue along the ascending road, which flattens out at the turnoff for Kurešček and then begins to descend towards the village of Rob. From the village of Rob, continue in the direction of Sela, Rup, Vrha and other settlements of the Rutarska planota, and follow the winding road to a triangular crossroads, where you turn right towards the hamlet of Predgozd (if you continue slightly left, you will quickly reach the settlements of the Rutarska planota). Continue past a few more houses, and then turn left to the forest cottage, where you will find a parking lot in the nearby parking area. Continue along the road to the forest cottage. Continue to the forest cottage.
b) From Ljubljana, drive towards Kočevje, then turn right at Rašica (left from Kočevje) towards the village of Rob. From the village of Rob, continue in the direction of Sela, Rup, Vrha and other settlements of the Rutarska planota, and follow the winding road to a triangular crossroads, where you turn right towards the hamlet of Predgozd (if you continue slightly left, you will quickly reach the settlements of the Rutarska planota). Continue past a few more houses, and then turn left to the forestry hut, where you will park in the parking lot nearby.
c) Drive to Novo vas, from where you continue driving towards Velike Lašče. After about 6. 5 km from the centre of Nova vas, leave the main road towards Velike Lašče and drive left towards Lužarji, Naredi, Boštetje, Mohorje, Rupe and Selo pri Robu. Above the village of Selo, you will reach a triangular crossroads where you will turn left towards the hamlet of Predgozd. Continue past a few more houses and then turn left towards the forestry cottage, where you can park in the parking lot nearby.

Path description:
From the forestry hut, next to which there are some information boards, follow the European footpath E6 up to the nearby road (up to the road we left when we turned left to the forestry hut). When you get to the road, continue straight ahead, and it will lead you past another residential house. Just after the house, the European footpath E6 branches off the road to the right, and we continue along the macadam road towards Krvava Peć. The road through the forest continues without any major changes in elevation, but then begins to descend more visibly. As the road descends, we will see a cross on the left, slightly off the path, and we continue along the road, which is laid, and then leads us through some meadows. A little further on we arrive at a marked crossroads where we continue left in the direction of Bukovec, St Lenart's Church, Krvava Cliff and Kevdrc Cave (straight down the village of Krvava Cliff).
Continue ascending steeply to the next crossroads, where you continue to the right (Bukovec on the left). The way forward still leads us along the macadam road, but it climbs an undistinguished ridge high above the valley of the River Ischka, whose roar can be heard all the way to our route. The relatively slippery road leads us past a few more cottages, and then we arrive at the church of St Lenart.
