Prevalje pod Krimom - Žalostna gora at Preserje

Access to the starting point:
a) From the motorway Ljubljana - Koper, take the exit Brezovica and then continue driving towards Podpeči. In Podpeča, from where the roads from Črna vas and Ig join, turn right in the direction of Krimo, Rakitna and Borovnica. Continue along the main road, which continues along the edge of the Ljubljana Marshes. Continue through the outskirts of Kamnik pod Krimom, where you cross the railway line. After the railway line, the road turns slightly to the left, and we follow it to the next crossroads, where the road to the village of Prevalje pod Krim branches off to the left. We take the road and it leads us quickly to the village. Turn left in the middle of the village and then drive to the end of the village, where you will see a chapel and the beginning of the unmarked path to Žalostno hora. There are no suitable parking places at the starting point.
b) From the motorway Koper - Ljubljana take the exit Vrhnika and then continue in the direction of Bistra and Borovnica. From Borovnica continue along the road towards Kamnik pod Krimom, and we follow the main road to the end of Goričica pod Krim. At the end of the main road, leave the main road and turn right towards the village of Prevalje pod Krim. After a short climb, you arrive in the village, and we drive to the end of the village, where we see a chapel on the left side of the road and the start of an unmarked trail to the sad mountain. There are no suitable parking places at the starting point.

Path description:
At the chapel, notice the start of the fainter cart track, which begins to climb over moderately steep grassy slopes. A little higher up, cart track turns slightly to the left and climbs to the edge of the wood. Here the path turns first left and then immediately right. Continue climbing through the forest on a gradually steeper and steeper path. A little higher up, you will see a fence on the right-hand side, which can help you climb (easy). When the fence ends, the path is laid and leads to the Church of the Sorrowful Mother of God on the Sorrowful Mountain.
