Prtovč - Planina Klom (via Razor)

Access to the starting point:
a) First drive to Škofja Loka, then continue driving towards Železniki. When you arrive in Železniki, first at the crossroads where the road to Kropa, Dražgoše and Rudne branches off to the right, continue straight ahead, then a little beyond the Mercator shop, or opposite the Niko d. o. o. company, continue right in the direction of Podlonk and Prtovča. Continue along the road, which begins to climb steeply, and we follow the fully asphalted road to the parking lot at Prtovč, which is located near the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians.
b) From Cerkno, Podbrdo or Sorice, drive into the Log Valley and then continue towards Škofja Loka. When you arrive in Železniki, leave the main road and turn left in the direction of Podlonk and Prtovča. Continue along the road, which begins to climb steeply, and we follow the fully asphalted road to the parking lot at Prtovč, which is located near the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians.

Path description:
From the parking lot, walk to the beginning of the village, where at the crossroads by the NOB monument, turn left, then slightly right at the next crossroads towards Ratitivec (the path over the razor). Continue between the houses and then the path leads to cart track, which ascends diagonally to the right. Higher up, the path from Hunting cottage Na Toli joins us from the right, and we follow it towards Ratitovec at the crossroads. The path leads us to a newer forest road, which we leave at a slightly higher level and continue our ascent along a marked footpath. A little higher up, the tracks of the new road or cart track end, and we arrive in a moderate ascent out of the forest at cirque Razor, where there is a marked crossroads.
From cirque we continue on the right path in the direction of Kosmati vrh, mountain pasture Klom and Krek's hut over Vratca (on the left the usual path to Krekova koča na Ratitovcu), which we follow for a short time, climbing steeply and quickly reaching the Vratca pass with good views, where signposts point slightly right in the direction of mountain pasture Klom (left Gladki vrh and Krekova hut, straight mountain pasture Pečana, sharp right Kosmati vrh). The way ahead takes us past a bunker from the time of the Rapallo border, then through lane of a forest to reach the next newer road, which is reached just by a pasture fence that goes over the road. Follow the road to the left and quickly reach the next marked crossroads, where another path branches off to the right, leading to Kosmati vrh (the above-mentioned path is not shown on most maps), and we continue to the left on the marked footpath or cart track in the direction of mountain pasture Klom. Continue for a short distance along cart track, and then the signs direct you to the left onto a footpath which descends gently, and later moderately, to a shepherd's hut at mountain pasture Klom.
