Rakov Škocjan (hotel) - Rakov Škocjan (Jamarska pot)

Access to the starting point:
a) From the Ljubljana - Koper motorway, take the Unec exit and continue to Unco. At Unec, the signs for Postojna and Rakov Škocjan direct you to the right, to the road that continues a little further directly along the motorway. After a few kilometres from Unec, you will reach a crossroads where the signs for Rakov Škocjan direct you to the left onto a dirt road, which will then take you to Hotel Rakov Škocjan.
b) From the Koper - Ljubljana motorway, take the Postojna exit and then continue along the old road towards Logatec. When Postojna ends, turn right at the hamlet of Ravbarkomanda in the direction of Unec, Rakek and Rakove Škocjan. After crossing the railway line over the overpass, continue left on the main road and then cross over the underpass under the motorway to the other side of the motorway. Drive along the motorway for a while and then the signs for Rakov Škocjan will direct you to the left onto a dirt road, which will then lead you to the Hotel Rakov Škocjan.
c) First drive to Cerknica, and from there continue to Unec. At Podskrajnik, turn left towards Rakov Škocjan, Zelš and the industrial zone. At an unmarked crossroads in the industrial zone, continue straight ahead and quickly arrive in Zelše. When the settlement ends, the asphalt soon ends, and the road leads to a crossroads where the road to the Hunting Lodge LD Cerknica branches off to the right, and we continue straight on and continue driving to the Hotel Rakov Škocjan.

Path description:
From the information board near the hotel, follow the path towards the Great Natural Bridge, passing the hotel on your right. Continue through the forest next to the hotel for a short distance, then the path descends steeply for a few steps and leads to a marked crossroads, from where you continue to the right in the direction of the Small Natural Bridge (on the left, the Large Natural Bridge and the Tkalčeva and Rakova trails). Our caving trail then continues upstream of the Rak River, and a little further on leads us over a small bridge to the other side of the river, where we continue to the right at a crossroads. Continue on the other side of the river, which the trail leaves a little higher up, where it continues through the forest. There are a few forks where you follow the signs for the Little Natural Bridge. The trail then crosses a rolling dirt road, after which it climbs moderately and reaches a point where, at the next information sign, you make a short extension to the Little Natural Bridge, which stands majestically over the River Rak.
From the Small Natural Bridge, return to the last crossroads and then continue in the direction of the Large Natural Bridge. Continue along the road, which descends slightly, and then quickly reach a crossroads, from which you continue straight down the footpath, again in the direction of the Large Natural Bridge. After a short descent, you are back by the river, where the path turns sharp left. We continue along the river for a short time, then the path veers slightly to the left and leads us up a slight incline to the long-closed Hotel Rakov Škocjan, where we started.
