Rimski Vrelec - Poštarski dom pod Plešivcem

Access to the starting point:
a) Take Ravne na Koroškem, then from the roundabout in the middle of the town, continue in the direction of Kotelj and Slovenj Gradec. Continue through the village of Pratnekar, at the beginning of Kotelj, where the road to Slovenj Gradec branches off to the left, continue straight ahead, and at the end of Kotlje go right towards the lake Ivarčko, and then a few 10 metres further on, after crossing the Hotuljka stream, turn left into the parking lot next to the dilapidated Rimski Vrelec hotel.
b) Drive to Slovenj Gradec, then continue driving towards Stary trg and then Kotlje and Ravenna na Koroškem. When you arrive in Kotlje, turn left at the junction with the priority road (right at Ravne na Koroškem) and then right at the end of Kotlje towards the lake Ivarčko. A few 10 metres further on, after crossing the Hotuljka stream, turn left into the parking area at Rimski Vrelec, where you park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, walk to the dilapidated Hotel Rimski vrelec and pass it on the right, where the path leads you past the NOB memorial, and then walk along the macadam road to the Rimski vrelec - Kotlje ski slope, which you pass on the bottom left. A little further on, at the pole of the high-voltage power line, continue left over a bridge, and when you reach an asphalt road a few steps further on, follow it to the right.
Continue along the asphalt road, which leads you past the turn-off to the Pekel cave, past the Šumah car company and past the birthplace of Prežihov Voranec, which is on the right-hand side of the road. A little further on from the birthplace of the famous Slovenian writer, the asphalt ends, and from the crossroads you continue straight towards the postman's cottage. The dirt road then turns left, and newer mountain direction signs direct you to the right to cart track, along which you continue first through the forest, and higher up, over a grassy slope with a view. At the grassy part, cart track turns left and returns to the forest, through which it climbs transversely. Higher up, the path lies down and leads out of the forest onto meadows, which offer a fine view that reaches as far as Golice / Koralpa. With beautiful views, we reach the Zagršnik farm, where we continue to the left, and in a slight downhill we reach a crossroads at the Šuler homestead, where we go right in the direction of the Postman's Home. Then climb up to the Ravnjak organic farm, where, in addition to the culinary offer, there are also 4 apartments, a sauna, a children's playground, etc.
Above the farm, the road, which again becomes macadam, turns into a lane of a forest, where the marked path from Slovenj Gradec joins us from the left, and we are only a minute's easy walk away from Poštarski dom pod Plešivcem.
