Ruška koča na Arehu - Žigartov vrh

Access to the starting point:
a) From the motorway Ljubljana - Maribor take the exit Rače - Fram, then follow the signs for Fram. Continue through the centre of Fram, then start climbing towards the settlements Kopivnik, Planica and Frajhajm, and higher up follow the signs for Areh. When you join the wider road, go left and continue following the signs for Areh. Park in the large parking lot near the Ruška hut on Areh.
b) Leave the Styrian motorway at the exit for Slivnica and Rogoza, then follow signs for Pohorje and Areh. The road continues through Spodnje and Zgornje Hoče, Slivnica Pohorje, and after the settlements follow the signs for Areh. Park in the large parking lot near the Ruška hut on Areh.

Path description:
At the Ruška hut you can see many signposts, including one for Žigartov vrh. The trail initially leads us along the road in the direction of Šumika and Osankarice, slightly uphill. After 15 minutes of walking, we arrive at a crossroads, where we continue in the direction of "vrh 15 minut", the leftmost hut on Šumik. The way forward soon leads us to the ski slope, along the edge of which we then climb to the top of the ski lift, which comes from the right hand side. The way forward continues for some time along the forest road, which then leads us to the crossroads of the route.
Continue right up the moderately steep marked path, which leads us in a few minutes to Žigartov vrh.
