Access to the starting point:
Cross the border crossing Sotina into Austria, where you turn left just after the border towards Strgarjevo / Kalch. After this point, you will arrive from the Austrian state of Burgenland into the Austrian state of Styria / Steiermark, and after Neustift, turn right at the crossroads in the direction of Kapfenstein. In the village, turn right towards Schloss Kapfenstein and follow the signs for the castle at the following junctions. Park to the right of the castle in the parking lot at the edge of the forest.
Path description:
From the end of the parking lot, continue north-west, following the gently sloping cart track, which leads through the forest. The path splits in the woods and we continue straight ahead on the lower cart track (right over the fence Kapfensteiner Kogel), which crosses the slopes through the woods for a short distance, and when we leave the woods we go left towards the nearby Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (right Kapfensteiner Kogel), which is reached in a gentle downhill.
