Selo pri Žirovnici - Sveti Lovrenc above Zabreznica

Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway, take the Lesce exit, where at the roundabout you will turn onto the old road towards Žirovnice and Jesenice. After a few km drive, you will reach a crossroads in Žirovnica, where you turn right, and after a few metres turn right again across the railway towards the east. After passing the village of Žirovnica, you will come across a local sign - Selo pri Žirovnici. Park in a suitable place nearby.

Path description:
Just a few metres further from the signpost, at a slight right turn (a little before the Osvald Inn), by a slightly larger building with a pink facade, turn left off the road into a street that winds up between the houses. Turn left at the first crossroads, and shortly afterwards, turn right at the second, where you will also come across a wooden signpost "St Lovrenc". When the asphalt runs out, after some 10 m, at a crossroads in front of a residential building, turn left along cart track uphill, where you will soon come across a pasture fence with a gate and the inscription "St. Lovrenc". Continue along cart track pasture (to the left of the shortcut), which turns left after some 10 m, and later, a little higher up (a shortcut branches off to the right), and then to the right, past the church sign, under the edge of the wood, where it turns a little more to the right in an easterly direction. When you come to a wooden house, the path soon turns left into the wods, where you walk up steps along a wooden fence. After a few minutes' walk along this fence (higher up - to the right is another branch of the shortcut), we come to the last wooden signpost, where we continue straight ahead (left uphill Brinjev vrh), and after a further 10 m walk through the forest, we reach the church of St. Lovrenec.
The registration book is located under the wishing bell in front of the entrance to the church.
