Ski hotel Vogel - Orlove glave

Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway, take the Lesce exit and follow the road towards Bled and on to Bohinjska Bistrica. Continue driving towards Bohinjsko jezero (Ribčev laz), at which you will come to a crossroads, where you will continue straight along the left (south) side of the lake in the direction of Ukanec and the Savica waterfall. Follow this road to the bottom station of the pendulum at Vogel, then buy a ticket and take the cable car to the top station, which is the starting point for our tour.

Path description:
From the top station of the pendulum at Vogel, continue right along the road, passing the Merjasec mountain hut on the west side. The path continues in a slight downhill in the direction of Komna and Vogel, and a wide macadam road leads to a marked crossroads. Here continue left in the direction of the four-seater Orlove glave (right down Komna, Vogel, Žagarjev graben and Ukanc), which the road passes on the right. From the bottom station of the four-seater, the road continues along the transport and rescue road, which in turn follows the Vogel ski slope, and begins to climb steeply. Follow the road, along which you can also see a few rare markings, to the upper station of the aforementioned four-seater, with increasingly beautiful views of Julian Alps. Here the path bends and leads to a point where the signs for the viewpoint point point to the right to lane of dwarf pines. Continue in the above direction and after two minutes of moderate ascent arrive at the Orlove glave headland, in the middle of which stands a large wooden cross.
If you wish, you can climb to the nearby "main" summit of the Eagle's Heads in less than 10 minutes. To reach it, return to the ski slope and from there continue straight towards Visoki Orlov rob, Šija and Rodica. Just a few metres before the road starts to descend, take a sharp right onto the steep rocky cart track, which is quickly followed to the summit.
