Access to the starting point:
From Velenje take the main road and just before Slovenj Gradec turn left at the crossroads in the route Kotlje, Podgorje, Center. Then drive straight through two traffic lights and take the third exit at the roundabout in the route Ravne na Koroškem, Podgorje and park in the large parking lot on the right-hand side of the road.
Path description:
Follow the pavement along the main road for 20 metres, where you will come across a signpost for Uršlja gora and Poštarski dom.
Cross the Suhodolnica River over the bridge and follow the asphalted road to the left towards Stary Square.
Cross the road in Stari trg and continue left along the pavement for about 140 m to the parish church, where you turn right at the statue of the saint, either on the pavement or the stairs.
After a short climb, turn right again onto the steps and climb up to the Church of St Radegund, pass it on the left and, passing the chapel marking the beginning of the Way of the Cross to the castle, arrive at a large parking lot which can also serve as a starting point.
Here, turn right along the Stations of the Cross to the Castle, but at the first chapel, turn left, following the newly laid path up Grabno.
This is the better part of the route, as you can observe small waterfalls along the way. When you get out of Grabno, continue straight on the macadam road past two workshops and a small farm, where you will come across an asphalt road, which you will follow to a crossroads.
Turn left here and follow the road down to the Chinese restaurant. Here you will meet the main road, turn left and cross it at the end of the pavement.
Warning, from here on I recommend waterproof hiking boots or high profile shoes, as the path is often muddy and extremely difficult to walk on in heavi downpours or prolonged rain!
In good weather, due to the large number of hikers, you can see the trampled grass parallel to the road leading to the path into the forest, otherwise you have to follow the main road for about 150 m, when the forest road branches off to the left. Turn onto the forest road, which quickly narrows into a track. It soon widens into what is believed to be the former Roman road and a stone bridge, presumably dating from Roman times. After the bridge, go straight on at the first crossroads, then find a shortcut to the left, cross the forest logging trail and climb up onto a parallel path. After a few acrobatic stumbles across large areas of puddles and mud, cross another logging trail and reach the top of the meadow. There, take a sharp left back into the forest, where you start to descend steeply towards the valley of the Selčnica stream. When you come out of the forest, you will find a dirt road which will take you to the Mexican Saloon Restaurant. Cross the road here and walk across the asphalted courtyard to the wooden bridge over the Selčnica stream. (Alternatively, go right past the St Nicholas Church). Continue along the small stream. After a few steps, look out for the mountain sign on the other side of the stream, otherwise you may find yourself on the Romans' tourist trail (it is also possible to get to the Postman's House, but it is very poorly maintained and has been pretty much destroyed). Cross the stream at the sign and follow the trail steeply up the bank. When you come out of the forest, you will find yourself in a large meadow, where you continue towards the only tree in the middle of the meadow. Behind it you can see signposts, and we head towards a lone birch tree standing on the bank on the left. Behind it we see a tiny path that crosses the bank and skirts the edge by the sign for the Romans' Way. Continue up along the corn field, crossing

Discussion about the trail Slovenj Gradec - Poštarski dom pod Plešivcem

Zahvala gre seveda markcistom Planinskega društva Pošte in Telekoma Maribor!
