Spodnje Duplje - Kriva jelka

Access to the starting point:
Leave the Gorenjska motorway at the Naklo exit, then follow the signs for Spodnje and Zgornje Duplje. Leave the main road at Spodnje Duplje and continue driving to the right towards the nearby church and cemetery, where you can park in a marked parking area.

Path description:
From the starting point, walk to the Church of St. Vida, bypassing it, and after it reach the second road, then follow the signs of the Kriva jelka trail in the opposite direction. As the markers are in the opposite direction, orientation through the village is quite difficult, but a few markers in the opposite direction will help. At the top of the village, the path leads to cart track, and from there you go slightly right on a beaten track which turns into a forest. At first it is a steeper climb, but then it is mostly just a gentle ascent. Then you walk through the woods, following the better-beaten track, with the help of some direction signs on the trail, which are usually a little after the crossroads and in the opposite direction. A little further on, you reach a dirt road, which you follow to the right (Zgornje Duplje and Zadraga on the left), which leads you to the next crossroads, where you go straight ahead (the NOB monument in Želin on the right).
Continue along the road and quickly pass the huts of the hikers to Kriva jelka, where there are some information boards.
