Stahovica - Church of St. Peter above Črna pri Kamniku

Access to the starting point:
a) Drive to Kamnik, then follow the signs for Kamniško Bistrica. Turn left at the traffic lights in Stahovica in the direction of Kamnik Bistrica, then park a few 10 metres further on in the parking lot by Calcito.
b) Leave the Štajerska motorway at the Vransko exit, then follow the road towards Kamnik. In Kamnik, turn right at the first traffic light, then follow the signs for Kamniško Bistrica. In Stahovica, turn left at the traffic lights in the direction of Kamnik Bistrica, then park a few 10 metres further on in the parking lot next to Calcito.
c) Take the Gornji Grad, then drive over the Črnivec Pass towards Kamnik. Before Kamnik, in Stahovica, turn right in the direction of Kamnik Bistrica, then park a few 10 metres further on in the parking lot at Calcito.
d) From Luce, drive over the Volovljek Pass (Kranjski Rak) to Stahovica, where you turn right at the traffic lights towards Kamnik Bistrica, and then park a few 10 metres further on in the parking lot at Calcito.

Path description:
From the parking lot, walk to the main road, then continue for 10 steps towards the traffic lights. Before the traffic lights, carefully cross the main road and head up the steep road, where the signs for Spodnje Prapretno, St. Primož and Velika read mountain pasture. At first we climb along the asphalt road, which makes two serpentines, but soon the road becomes macadam and leads us to a wooded ridge, where the road continues for some time. You gradually reach the south-western slopes, where you emerge from the woods, and after a left turn you come to an unmarked crossroads, by which there is a map.
Continue straight ahead (right Spodnje Praprotno) on the road which returns to the forest. Higher up, the road leads through a small hamlet, and above the hamlet it makes a left turn. Leave the road here and continue straight on cart track, which after a few minutes of cross-country climbing returns to the road. At the next left-hand bend, go straight on again to cart track, at which there are signs for St. Primož and the Domžale home at Mali mountain pasture.
The way forward leads us along the wide cart track, which leads us past the chapel to a spring called Umivalnik (inscription in the Gorenjska dialect Umivavnk on the sign).
There is a bit of a cross-climb and we arrive at a crossroads where the path to Velika planina branches off to the left, and we continue straight on towards St Primož, where we continue to walk along the cart track. A few minutes higher up, we leave the dense forest and, with beautiful views, arrive at the church of St. Primož and the nearby refreshment room.
Between the refreshment room and the church, the path continues, leading to the nearby larger chapel, where the path turns left. There is a short climb and we reach St Peter's Church, which is visible in the last few minutes of the walk.
