Stari Grad (Šega) - Dedni vrh (Šuštarica)

Access to the starting point:
Take the Makole, then from the roundabout in the centre of the village, head in the direction of St. Anna, Šega, Šošterica waterfall and Stari Grad. A little further on, go right towards Šega and Šošterica waterfall (straight ahead St. Anna), and follow the road to a small crossroads with a parking lot, and signs for Šošterica waterfall and Boč on the right side of the road. Park in the parking lot on the left side of the road.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the asphalt road towards Boč (slightly right along the macadam road of the Šošterica waterfall - 15 minutes). Start climbing up the road and in a few minutes you will reach the hamlet of Motanje, where at the crossroads with signs for Dedni Vrh, Planinski dom na Boču (Mountain Home on Boču), leave the main road leading to the hamlet of Variša vas and continue to the right.
After the crossroads, the road becomes macadam, and after the meadow, it leads into the forest. Cross the forest, climb uphill, and at a higher altitude pass a sports ground, after which you continue through the forest for a few minutes. When the forest ends, the road becomes asphalted again and leads to the hamlet of Dedni Vrh, where a few houses are passed on the right. After the hamlet, the asphalt ends and the road returns to the forest. A little further on from the crossroads, continue straight ahead, and when you reach a small pass between Plešivec on the left and Dedni vrh on the right, leave the road at the wildlife feeding ground and continue to the right, first along the cart track and then along a steep ridge path. Follow the path, which is particularly dangerous to slip on in wet conditions, to the nearby summit, which can be reached in about 5 minutes' walk from where you left the road.
