Access to the starting point:
Štore ideally accessible with the help of Slovenian Railways. By road. . . leave the motorway in Celje and practically in the centre of Celje head towards Štore or Šentjur. Park the car near the Štore railway station, where there are plenty of parking spaces and also the start of a marked mountain trail.
Path description:
The route starts at the railway station in Štore. Go via Voglajna, where a direction sign immediately directs you to the right and shortly afterwards straight through the area of the old Stora Ironworks. Continue along the asphalt road in the lower part by the Bojan ditch to a new fork in the trail, which points sharp left on the asphalt higher up the hill to Žlajfa, where the road finally turns into a well-marked forest trail. The ascent is beautiful, alternating between forest and grassland. From the left we join the mountain trail from Štor via Šentjanž or Resevna and after a short continuation through the forest we reach Alma's home at Svetina.
From Alma's home, descend down to the first crossroads and continue left in the direction of Svetina. After a short tour of the settlement, follow the XIV Division route along the cemetery (the grave of the great traveller Alma Karlin, immediately to the left at the entrance) up the road towards Kanjuce. At the larger farmhouse on the right, also by the horse paddock, you will come to a wooden cross on the right side of the road, where the path to Veliki vrh branches off to the right uphill.
Continue downhill from the cross and the path runs partly through woods and meadows. At one of the farmsteads you reach an asphalt connection and more specifically the village of Kanjuce. Follow the asphalt link along the well-marked, undulating road between the homesteads until you reach part of the settlement of Sela. A wooden signpost directs us to the right on the macadam road and somewhere on the brick garage is the last correct marking with the Roman 14. From the garage onwards the markings "dip" and in the more distinct forest part we simply follow the road. This is somewhere between the end of the municipality of Štore and the beginning of the municipality of Laško. As you come down out of the forest, the village of Olešče with the church of St Peter is already in sight, slightly uphill. Follow the road through Petrovo Selo down past scattered farmhouses, more or less maintained chapels. . . Unfortunately, there are no markings and at two crossroads we continue to the right, which is logical anyway because of the better macadam road. Soon we reach the Church of St Peter, which is slightly on a rise.
After visiting the church and the surrounding area, we continue downhill along the farmsteads, including a plaque on one of the farmsteads commemorating the 14th Division's battle on 13. 02. 1944 in Olesce. We continue mainly along the asphalt road in the direction of Tevč or Vrh nad Laškim to the valley of the stream or river Lahomnica. Soon we reach a road that leads to the left further into the world of Kozjansko, while we continue to the right in the direction of Laško. After a few hundred metres we reach a crossroads in Tevče, on the plain, under house No 21, and turn off at a wooden fence, also a wooden fountain, an important landmark, and follow the quiet stream Lahomno along the macadam surface by two homesteads. After the two homesteads, cross the bridge Lahomno and follow the pleasant meadow path to soon reach Lahomniški sopot, the destination of today's route.

Discussion about the trail Štore - Lahomniški sopot (via Žlajfa, Svetina and Olešče)
