Strunjan - Strunjanski križ

Access to the starting point:
From the coastal expressway, take the main road from Koper towards Izola and then the main road to Portorož. After the pine tree grove, where 110 pine trees (Pinus pinea) grow, turn right at the roundabout towards Strunjan. Drive through Strunjan to a large pay parking area near the beach.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue to the right towards Hotel Svoboda, and at the crossroads follow the European walking trail markings. After the hotel, leave the asphalt and continue slightly left on the path, which gradually turns into a forest. The path continues over the upper edge of the Strunjan cliff, occasionally opening up to a beautiful view of the sea and the coast. There are a few minutes of steeper climbing, then the path flattens out and within a few minutes of further walking we reach Strunjanski križ, which offers a fine view.
