Stružnica - Kuželjska stena

Access to the starting point:
From Kočevje take the main road G2-106 towards the Petrina border crossing. Go past the settlement of Briga and the turn-off for Borovec, before the settlement of Banja Loka turn right at the hunting lodge onto the forest road, direction Stružnica, Rake. Follow the forest road for about 5 km until you reach a house with the house number Stružnica 1 on the right. Continue for about 100 m and you will come to a large area on the side of the road where you can leave your vehicle. There are also signs describing the location.

Path description:
From the parking lot, from the signs describing our destination, the path heads left uphill along the forest logging trail. The steep section is followed by a flatter, then slightly steeper section, and then a footpath branches off to the right from logging trail to the top of the Kuželjska Stena (Kuželjska Stena).

At the top there is a box with a signing book. From the top, you have a wonderful view of the village of Kuželj, after which the wall takes its name, and you can also admire the Kolpa valley all the way to the Loška Wall.

To reach the window, follow the marked trail to the village of Rake, following the ridge to the right. After about 200 m and a considerable descent, you will reach a window that opens in the ridge.

To descend, you can continue along the marked trail all the way to the settlement of Rake and return along the forest road to the starting point. Alternatively, when the marked path reaches the forest logging trail, take it to the left, first descend and ascend a little, then descend again to a distinct saddle and a junction with another logging trail, and take this one to the right, and you will arrive directly at the starting point. This last part is unmarked but not difficult to navigate.
