Sveta Barbara (Nova Hrastnica) - Sveti Ožbolt (above Zminec)

Access to the starting point:
a) From the road Medvode - Škofja Loka, at the beginning of Škofja Loka, turn in the direction of Poljanska dolina, then after the Sten tunnel turn right towards Puštal. A little further on, take another right, then pass through Puštal and the Hrastnice valley. Follow the asphalt road along the valley floor to the crossroads in front of the Nova Hrastnica bus station, where the road to Sv. Andreje branches off to the right. At the crossroads, where there are no parking spaces, the route described above begins.

b) From Poljanska dolina, drive towards Škofja Loka, then turn left before the Sten tunnel towards Puštal, and at the next junction turn right. Continue through Puštal and the Hrastnice valley. Follow the asphalt road along the valley floor to the crossroads in front of the Nova Hrastnica bus station, where the road to Sv. Andreje branches off to the right. At the crossroads, where there are no parking spaces, the route described above begins.

Path description:
From the starting point, follow the asphalt road in the direction of Sv. The road immediately starts to climb steeply and leads us past a few places where it is possible to park. A little higher up, a well-trodden but unmarked path branches off to the right, soon returning to the road, and after a few steps you leave it again. There is a slightly longer climb through the woods before returning to the road, which you follow for a few minutes. Higher up, the road turns sharp right, and we leave it a little further on, as we see the continuation of an unmarked path on the left, which continues along the slightly overgrown cart track. A few minutes further on, the path turns right and climbs steeply over a more overgrown part, and above it we join the path leading past the Krmelj-Blek farm.

Continue to the right and follow the wider cart track up to a crossroads, where you reach a waymarked path leading from St Andrew's Church to St Ožbolt's Church.

Continue left, then at the fork take the steeper left cart track. Walk along cart track for a few minutes, then join the macadam road, which you follow to the right, which leads you along the upper edge of the nearby hamlet, where you also pass the chapel. After the chapel, on the grassy part, continue straight ahead or slightly left, and when the road turns into woods, continue right upwards, first along the edge of the woods, and then through the woods along a wooded ridge. There are a few small forks where you follow the signs, and when you emerge from the forest, go first left, then right and continue walking along the increasingly scenic cart track, which leads you along the power lines. Higher up, you reach the Janšč farm, after which you continue straight ahead along a steep mountain path, which takes you up to the Church of St Ožbolt in about 10 minutes.
