Sveti Rok (Sele) - Poštarski dom pod Plešivcem

Access to the starting point:
a) Drive to Slovenj Gradec, then continue to Stary trg and on to Kotlje and Ravenna na Koroškem. After the roundabout at Stary trg, the road begins to visibly climb, and before a small pass, turn left out of the junction towards Sele (Vrhe and Bukovska vas on the right). Continue past the church of St. Nicholas, and then climb again to the church of St. Roko, before which you park in a large gravel parking area next to the cemetery.
b) Take Ravne na Koroškem, then from the roundabout in the middle of the town, continue towards Kotelj and Slovenj Gradec. Continue through Pratnekar and at the beginning of Kotelj turn left towards Slovenj Gradec. There is a gradual climb, and when the road starts to descend, turn right out of the junction and continue towards Sele (Vrhe and Bukovska vas on the left). Continue past the Church of St. Nicholas, and then again there is a bit of a climb to the Church of St. Roko, in front of which you park in a larger gravel parking lot next to the cemetery.

Path description:
From the parking lot, walk to the Church of St. Roko, where the road turns right, and then, taking in the beautiful views, continue past the house where Franc Ksaver Meško, the Slovenian writer, lived and worked. The road continues past a few more houses, and after a short climb you reach a small crossroads where you turn left towards the Postman's Home and the Ravnjak organic farm. There is another short climb and you reach the next crossroads, where you turn right, followed by a slightly longer cross-country climb. Leave the asphalt road at the crossroads, where the markings and signs for the Španžel homestead direct you sharp left, onto a side road, which quickly leads to the homestead. After the farmhouse, continue along the cart track, first with beautiful views along the edge of the forest, then along a path through the forest, following the signs. Higher up, you will reach a dirt road, follow it to the left, and after a minute's further walking, you will reach the Postman's Home below Plešivec.
