The Kot Valley - Waterfalls in Kot (circular path)

Access to the starting point:
Drive to Mojstrana, then follow the signs for the Kot and Krma valleys. At Kosmačev preval leave the road leading further towards Krma, Radovna and Bled and continue right on the side road towards Kot valley. Follow the macadam road to the mountain direction signs at the end of the road in Lengar Rovt.

Path description:
From the end of the road, continue along the wider marked path towards Stanič's home and Kredarica, which climbs gently through the forest. After a few minutes, you reach the Kotarica gravel road, cross over to the other side, where the track reappears.
Walk along the marked path towards Stanič's home for only a short time, as soon you will see an unmarked path on the right, which you continue along, and after a few minutes it leads back to the torrential deposits of Kotarica (you can also follow the torrent here). Continue up the gravel path, and when the valley starts to narrow, go to the left side (right bank of the stream), where you will see a fainter unmarked path in the woods slightly above the stream. Here we start to climb steeply, and soon we reach a place where we have a view of the lower Kotarice waterfall.
The path continues through the forest up quite steeply and soon we have a view of the upper waterfall, and at high water levels, during snow melt and after heavi storms, we can see a few more waterfalls, some of which can be very large.
A little further on, when the slope above the Kotarice gorge becomes very steep, the faint track turns left and climbs cross-country to the marked path we left at the start of the route.
When you reach the trail, follow it down to the left (right up Staničev dom), and follow it down to the starting point where you started the trip.
