Tolmin - Kozlov rob (learning trail)

Access to the starting point:
Take the road to Tolmin and turn right at the traffic lights at the top of the hill (left if coming from Kobarid) towards Zatolmin. After about 50 m from the traffic lights, you will come to a small crossroads, where you continue slightly left (straight ahead to Zatolmin). Continue along the road of Bruno's Alley, and we follow it to the signs for the path to Kozlov Edge. Park in a suitable space at the start of the Kozlov Edge trail.

Path description:
At the starting point, you will see signs for the Castle, which will direct you to a wide path that climbs through the forest. After a short climb, you reach a crossroads, where you continue to the right in the direction of the trail to Kozlov rob, or Grad (left trim trail).
Continue along the wide and winding path, which quickly leads to the water reservoir. After the water tower, the path climbs steeply for a short time before entering a dense forest, through which it then climbs steadily. The beautifully laid out and well-maintained path, followed at crossroads in the direction of the Učni cesta (Learning Path), leads us higher over a wooden bridge, after which we quickly arrive at an old military bunker. The ascent continues on a moderately ascending path, which leads to a lookout point from which a beautiful view of Tolmin and its surroundings opens up. The way forward returns to the forest for a few more minutes, and then, just below the summit, leads us out of the forest, where we join the Castle Trail. Here, continue to the right and after a few steps of further walking, you will reach the restored ruins of the former castle on Kozlovem rob.
