Trnje / Dornach - Singerberg / Žingarica

Access to the starting point:
a) Via Border crossing Ljubelj, drive into Austria, where you take the main road to Klagenfurt am Wörtersee (Klagenfurt am Klagenfurt) to the second roundabout, from where you continue in the direction of the exit Bistrica v Rožu (Feistritz im Rosental) (leave the main road to Klagenfurt before crossing the river Drava). In Struga / Strau turn left towards Kapla / Kappel an der Drau, and after the church turn left. The village soon ends, and at the chapel you go left and then arrive in Trnje / Dornach, where the trail described above starts at the mountain sign. There are no parking spaces at the starting point.
b) From Dravograd or Slovenj Gradec, drive to Ravne na Koroškem and then continue in the direction of Border crossing Holmec. When entering Austria, drive first towards Pliberk / Bleiburg, then follow signs for Globasnica / Globasnitz and on to Železná kapla / Bad Eisenkappel, Borovljam / Ferlach. After Borovljani, join the road via Border crossing Ljubelj at the roundabout. Here, at the first roundabout, continue in the direction of Klagenfurt, and at the second roundabout in the direction of Bistritz im Rosental. In Struga / Strau turn left towards Kapla / Kappel an der Drau, and after the church turn left. The village soon ends, and at the chapel you go left and then you arrive at the village of Trnje / Dornach, where the trail described above starts at the mountain sign. There are no parking spaces at the starting point.

Path description:
From the starting point described above, continue along the right-hand road in the route Singerberg, where the path leads us past a few more houses. Above the village, the asphalt ends, the road turns into a forest, and we leave it at the sign for the forest road and continue slightly right on the marked footpath. After a few minutes of climbing, we return to the road, and after climbing for a while, we continue on the marked path when the signs point us to the left. After a short climb, the path is laid and a little further on you cross a junction of forest roads and tracks. Continue along the stream for a short distance, then the path turns slightly left and climbs through the lane of the forest. Soon we reach a track which ends after a few steps, and we follow the mountain path up to the next cart track, and a little further on the path leads us to the farm Žingar / Singerbauer
We continue along a worse road, which leads us across a meadow and quickly leads to a marked crossroads.
From the crossroads, go left in the route Singerberg (straight ahead to the Albnik / Halbingsattel saddle and Singerberg via the aforementioned saddle), and the path leads us for a short distance across a meadow with a view and then into the woods. Climb through the forest for a short distance, then reach a minor road, which you follow for a few minutes. After a small crossroads, where you go right, signs lead you left onto a slightly more overgrown mountain path. Above the overgrown part, the path enters the forest, where you cross a few tracks and, higher up, a forest road a few more times. There is a steep ascent, where we climb in short serpentines. Higher up, the path curves slightly to the right and climbs steeply. Then cross a pasture fence, where the path reaches a ridge, lays down and turns right.
Less than 5 minutes' walk later, the path leads to the top of Singerberg, and it is worth walking a further 10 steps to get a good view.
