Trnovec - Osolnik (by road)

Access to the starting point:
From Medvode, drive to the village Sora, where you will head towards the village Topole (Katarina). Shortly after Sora, you will reach Trnovec (sparsely populated area). When you see a dirt road on the right and signs, park alongside it. The parking area is on the left side of the road.

Path description:
From the parking lot, carefully cross the road and then start climbing up the macadam road towards the Osovnik log cabin.
After about ten minutes of walking, the footpath to Govejek branches off to the left. Continue along the road, which after half an hour's walk leads to a small hamlet. Here the road makes a left turn and after a few steps brings us to a crossroads of two paths. Take the right path (road) in the direction of the hunting lodge (you can also continue on the road, but then bypass the hunting lodge). You will reach this after a minute's walk from the crossroads.
Continue past the hut and the path soon leads to the road we left. A little further on, the road leads us to a slightly larger crossroads. Take the rightmost road towards Osolnika. The road leads us to signs for a log cabin on the right, but after a few metres the footpath and the road merge. At the next signpost for the log cabin, turn right onto the footpath, which leads you in a few steep steps to the log cabin (you can continue on the road again).
From the log cabin, continue left along the road slightly downhill. After a few steps, you will rejoin the road you left before climbing up to the log cabin. The road then leads us to the next hamlet, where we join the road from the village of Sora.
Continue left up to the signpost for Osolnik on the right. Then take the cart track road, which is forbidden for cyclists. Follow Cart track, which climbs up the meadow to the top where the church stands.
