Tržič - Kamnek (Po Seili)

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Ljubelj (Tržič), then turn right downhill before the petrol station in Bistrica pri Tržiču, where you will quickly reach Tržič. At the junction after the Mercator shop, turn left towards the Tržič Museum, and we continue along Koroška Road, which we follow through the town centre to the nearby pizzeria. Here, turn right through the old courtyard gate and then pass the pizzeria's guest parking lot and the children's playground to the parking lot next to the castle.

Path description:
From the parking lot next to the castle, first descend the stairs and then turn left along the wide path, which offers a beautiful view of Tržič. Just a little further on, you reach the chapel, where you continue straight ahead in the direction of the Radetzky Trail. We continue our ascent along the gently sloping path, and then, when an arrow on a tree indicates that the Radetzky path continues slightly to the left, we continue on the right cart track (unmarked), which first descends slightly and then crosses the slopes to the right. After a few minutes, when cart track turns left, we continue straight on the forest path, which continues to cross the slopes, and a little further on we join another marked path (starting point for the Tržič Primary School).
The way forward ascends gently to a small saddle, where we continue to the left (to the right a small rise full of rubbish), and the path forks again just a little further on. Continue on the slightly right marked path, which begins to climb steeply, and in a short part we are also helped by a small steel cable. In the following, we climb quite steeply along a wooded ridge, then the path is laid and after a short descent we are joined on the right by a marked path from the hamlet of Slap.
Continue straight ahead, along the steep path, which leads us higher past the bench. At a small crossroads above the bench, continue along the ridge and then reach a technically difficult place where, with the help of fixed safety gear, you climb steeply. When the fixed safety gear ends, the path is steep for a short time, then it flattens out and joins the Radetzky path at a higher level, and this is joined on the right by another path from the hamlet of Slap, the path over the Ride.
Again, continue straight on, and at the next crossroads go slightly right in the direction Kamnek (the slightly left path goes around the top). A few minutes of steep walking follows, and the increasingly scenic path leads to Kamnek.
