Access to the starting point:
Leave the Gorenjska motorway at the Hrušica exit and follow the road towards Kranjska Gora. Just before the village of Dovje, the road branches off to the left and leads to Mojstrana (Vrata, Kot and Krma). Follow the road in the direction of the Vrata valley and follow it to the road marker for approximately 10. 5 km. Here you will see a small parking lot on the left side of the road and a road crossing the river. Park so as not to block the river crossing (Triglavska Bistrica).
In winter the road to Vrata is closed. This can add 1 to 2 hours to the walk.
Path description:
From the parking lot, walk down to the brok and take the footpath on the other side, which climbs through the forest. After a few minutes of climbing, the path from Aljaž's house joins from the right. Continue through the forest on the left. After about an hour's walk, you will emerge from the forest onto the scree slopes, where you turn right and head up towards the cliff. Even if there is no snow, orientation is not difficult as the path here is nicely sloped. When you reach the foot of the cliffs, turn left and continue climbing on the scree, which is dangerous for avalanches or slipping in unfavourable conditions. Continue climbing up the right side of the valley until the steepness subsides. When the slope drops, walk along a valley full of large boulders. Depending on the snow conditions, we usually follow the valley ahead and then slightly to the left below the High Vrbanovo Spit. This part of the route is quite steep and if there is little snow the direct ascent is stopped by jumps (when there is less snow we head right under Begunjski vrh and then cross to the left). Above this steep part we reach a saddle where we have a view of Triglav (here we have a good five minutes left to Stanič's house, which has a winter rom).
At the saddle, turn left and find the best passage to the summit. This passage is found a little further to the right and then climb up the middle of the not to steep slope to the top.
