Ukanc - Koča pri Savici (via Blato)

Access to the starting point:
First we drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, then we continue to Bohinjsko jezero and then to the ski resort Vogel. When the main road turns left into the short road to the bottom station of the Vogel pendulum, we continue to the right and then immediately park in the large pay parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the asphalt road towards Hotel Zlatorog. After a few minutes of easy walking past the Zlatorog Bohinj bivouac and the information board of the circular route Zlatorog's Fairytale Land, you will arrive at the Zlatorog Hotel, and after the hotel the road splits.
Continue on the left path towards the Savica waterfall through Blato (the normal route to the Savica waterfall and the route around Bohinjsko jezero), where the path leads past the Erlah guesthouse and several apartments. At the crossroads, follow the yellow signs for the path through Blato, and we soon enter the forest, where we initially follow the wide cart track. At the next yellow markers, cart track narrows, crosses a stream, and then begins a moderate to occasionally steep climb. After a few minutes' ascent, the path flattens out and then descends gently in a few steps to a marshy lake, which is passed on the right. After the marsh, the path climbs for a few more minutes and then leads out of the woods to a large meadow called Blato, where another small lake can be seen on the left. Continue straight across the meadow, then past a few houses and a small chapel, you reach the main road leading to the Cottage pri Savici.
Continue your ascent along the road, where a few obscure bends make it necessary to be more cautious. Follow this road all the way to Koča pri Savici, which is reached after a few minutes of further walking.
