Caution: please note that the road is in bad shape!
Drive to Irschen (Austria). Once in Irschen follow the signs for Weneberger and than for Weneberger Alm. The last 6 kilometers of the dusty road are in really bad shape! There is a parking at the destination and the hut Unteralmhütte in the vicinity.
Path description:
From car continue to the hut Unteralmhütte. A trail to the hut Bergheimat begins by the slope behind the hut. After one minute you will reach the signs where you should turn right in direction Leppner Alm. In the continuation, the trail traverses several mountain springs and many mountain pastures until it joins with a cart track. Soon the trail branches off a slowly descends to a nearby hut. Pass the hut and in the nearby pasture turn right (from a trail to Ochsnerhütte). A trail heads into the forest and it descends in a few steep sections. Next, turn left, pass a few houses and walk a few minutes on a dusty road until the signs direct you right to a steep trail to the Bergheimat.
