Veržej - Babič mill on Mur

Access to the starting point:
a) Leave the Pomurje motorway at exit Vučja vas, then follow the signs for Ljutomer. Towards Ljutomer, drive to the settlement Križevci, where take the exit Banovci, Veržej from the roundabout. When you arrive in Veržej, take the last exit towards Bunčani from the roundabout by the Mercator Narcisa store. Just after the roundabout, the road to the left turns off towards the parking lot of the aforementioned shop, and just a few metres further on, we turn left onto the road leading to a larger parking lot next to the cemetery and the parish church in Veržej.
b) First drive to Ljutomer, then follow the signs for Murska Sobota. When you arrive in Veržej, take the last exit towards Bunčani from the roundabout by the Mercator Narcisa store. Just after the roundabout, the road to the left turns off towards the parking lot of the aforementioned store, and we turn left just a few metres further, onto the road that leads to a larger parking lot next to the cemetery and parish church in Verže.

Path description:
From the end of the parking lot, turn right along the tarmac path and follow the tarmac road for a short distance. When you reach the junction with the main road a few 10 metres further on, cross it carefully at the pedestrian crossing and then continue past the Slavko Osterc Memorial Park. A little further on, you will reach another road, along which you will see the markings of the Pomurska Planinska cesta. Continue walking between the houses, and at the crossroads continue straight ahead and follow the signs for the mill on the Mura. When the Veržej settlement ends, climb up to the flood embankment and after a short descent reach the football field of the Veržej Football Club. Go around the pitch on the right and then it's a short walk to the nearby Babič Mill on the Mura.
