Vršič - Prisank / Prisojnik (via Kajzljeva škrbina)

Access to the starting point:
From Kranjska Gora drive towards Bovec or vice versa, but only as far as the Vršič pass, where you park.

Path description:
On the coastal side of the parking lot, you will notice a slightly narrower, initially still asphalted road, which will take you in a few 10 steps to Tičar's house on Vršič.
From Tičar's house, continue along the macadam road, which begins to climb moderately over the slopes. Taking in the view of the surrounding peaks, you will quickly reach a marked crossroads.
Here, continue to the right in the direction of Prisank and Razor (straight along the road Poštarski dom and the top of Vršič) and continue along the well-trodden mountain path, which continues for some time along a gently sloping and scenic ridge. After a few minutes the path starts to climb steeply through the rarer lane of dwarf pines, and then lays down and leads us just below the top of the grassy Sovna glava.
Continue straight on (a few steps to the right along the trackless path you can climb to the viewable grassy summit of Sovne glava) and descend moderately to the saddle between Prisojnik and Sovna glava, where the path from Erjavčeva koča na Vršiču joins from the left, or the path to Prisojnik via Prednje okno branches off to the left (the Kopiščarjeva cesta (Kopiščarjeva cesta).
From the small saddle, continue slightly to the right towards Prisojnik and continue along the scree. Continue over the scree to cross the slopes on the west side of Prisojnik. The way forward is slightly more ascending and leads us to the place where the Ridge Trail to Prisank branches off to the left, and the trail leading to Razor, Pogačnikov dom and Prisank (Prisank - South, Slovenian and Jubilee trails) continues in a straight direction.

Continue straight ahead, the path becomes less steep and very quickly you are at the crossroads again. This time, continue to the left, following the signs "Prisojnik (Slovenian trail), Kajzljeva škrbina - Last Prisojnik", and to the right the trail leads towards Mlinarica and Razor.

From the crossroads, we then spend some time ascending the increasingly scenic grassy slopes to the east and the poorly beaten track from Mlinarica joins us from the right. Just a short distance later we reach another crossroads.

This time the Slovenian trail to Prisojnik branches off to the left, and we continue straight on following the signs "Zvoniki, 2. okno v Zad. Prisojnik". The path crosses grassy slopes for a while, and then our path also turns slightly to the left and starts to climb steeply. Here we are also helped by a small cable car in a few places. The path continues to ascend mostly on the slopes on the south side of Prisojnik, crossing a few short scree slopes and ravines. Higher up, the slopes we cross become a little steeper and the path is a little exposed in a few places. In the most difficult parts, the cable car is a help. When you reach the eastern side of Zvonikov, the path turns slightly to the left and then climbs up the rocky slope to Kajzljeva škrbina where you get a view of the north side.

At the notch where you join the Jubilee Trail on Prisank, continue left and move to the steeper northern slopes. There is some exposed scrambling and then a steep climb to reach the southern slopes of the mountain again. Continue slightly right up the mountain and soon join the Slovenian and ridge trails to Prisank. From here it is just a short climb up the southern slope to a very scenic summit.
