Zadlog - Špičasti vrh

Access to the starting point:
From Logatec, drive towards Idrija or vice versa, but only as far as Godovič, from where you continue to Črnji vrh and Col. At the church in the centre of Černý vrh, turn right towards the village of Zadlog. Follow this road straight ahead at the junctions and it will soon lead you into the Zadlog basin. After a good 4km drive from the crossroads in Črnji vrh, you will see the first direction sign for Špičasti vrh along the road, pointing to the left. The well-marked road then leads to where the walking trail begins.
The Black Peak can also be reached from the Vipava valley via Colo.

Path description:
Planina markers for Špičasti vrh direct us to cart track, which climbs gently at first over a large meadow. On the other side of the meadow, the waymarked path splits into two parts. You can either continue slightly to the left along cart track or slightly to the right along a very steep footpath. Both paths pass through the forest and merge into one relatively steep path higher up. The path then switches again to cart track, which leads up a moderate incline to a forest road, which is followed to the right.
After walking along the road for a few minutes, leave the road and continue slightly to the left in the direction of Špičastý vrh. Continue ascending along cart track, which soon splits into two parts. Continue slightly right along the marked cart track, which gradually turns into a footpath. The path then turns left and continues along a wide woded ridge. This path, which climbs steeply for a short time just below the summit, can be followed all the way to the lookout tower on Špičastem vrh.
