Zala - Kotel waterfall

Access to the starting point:
From the main road Rakitna - Cerknica (asphalt) in the village Župeno turn left onto the macadam towards Sveti Vid (from the route Cerknica turn right). Just before the village Sveti Vid you will reach the asphalt. In Sveti Vid turn left again towards Zala and Osredek. Some 200 to 300 metres after Zala there is a sign pointing left to a solid, but worse, dirt road. Follow it down for a good 2 to 2. 5 kilometres - it is possible to leave the car on the right sharp bend just before the bridge. You can also leave the car at the top (at the junction) and then walk as instructed below, but the hiking time increases by nearly 30 minutes.

Path description:
From where you leave the car (a sharp bend), turn right and after less than 100 metres climb the concrete steps (they slide in the snow and rain!!!) and you can continue up these steps to the top of the waterfall (kadic), where the trail ends.
