Path description:
The trail starts in a gorge of the Sotla River, called Zelenjak. This is where Antun Mihanović is said to have been inspired to write the Croatian anthem "Lijepa naša domovino". Our trail begins at the large monument.
At the beginning we will go towards Tuhelj and walk on asphalt. Soon we will arrive at the next crossroads and go to the village of Podgora, where we will leave the asphalt and go into the forest.
The path is quite steep at the beginning, but then it flattens out. After the downhill part, we come to lane of bushes, where the path becomes quite steep again and quite slippery in the rain, especially when descending.
Higher up, you reach the wider forest cart track and turn right to the west. The path climbs gently and becomes narrower and narrower. When you reach a sharp left turn, the path will lead you onto the steep western slopes. Through the treetops you will also see neighbouring Kunšperk, and the path becomes steeper again.
Further along the trail, you will see a hunting observation post, with a faint branch to a nearby spring.
After the turnoff, you will quickly reach a service road and a few metres further on you will find a mountain hut, which is open on Sundays and is only stocked with drinks, but it is also possible to spend the night there.
Continuing north from the hut, within a few minutes you will reach the interesting Cesargrad Fortress, which is unfortunately falling into ruin.
To get to the top, take a long right turn south from the hut. The path leads us along a wider cart track slope through the forest to the summit.
There is a large communication building at the top. The view is mentioned to the north-east.
