Castle Riegersburg

Description of peak:
Castle Riegersburg is a mighty castle situated on a hill of volcanic origin above the village of Riegersburg, northeast of the town of Vrbna / Feldbach. The castle was of great importance in the past for the defence against the Turks and was never captured despite numerous attacks. A very well-made climbing route in the south-western wall leads up to the castle, which is of interest to Styrians and Prekmurans because of its "proximity".
