Description of peak:
Dikeos (846 m) is the highest mountain on the Kos island, the third-largest Dodecanese island in the southeastern Aegean sea in Greece (after Rhodes and Karpathos).
A greek name and markings for the mountain are often written in greek as Δίκαιος.
A whole world opens up below the summit, with a sea all around, the Turkish coast and the city Bodrum to the north-east, and three islands to the north-west, i.e. Pserimos (100 inhabitants including tourists in the summer), Plati (1 inhabitant as of 2020) and Kalymnos (worldly renown for its industry of sponges).
A greek flag, a chapel, and a refuge are maintained near the mountain top. A summit-cross is lighted in the night and can be seen from the Zia village.
Local people celebrate 6th August with a group hike to the summit.
