Dobra gora

Description of peak:
Dobra gora is a hill located slightly south of Lake Bled and rising about 150 m above the village of Selo (near Bled). At the top there are two benches with a registration book and a beautiful view, as the top is perched on a precipitous cliff. Below: the village with pastures as far as the Sava Bohinjka, beyond it the slopes of Jelovica with Babji zob and the village of Kupljenik, and to the far right Bohinjska Bela below the walls of Galetovec. On the left is the village Ribno with Ribena Mountain, and the Radovljica basin in the background.
According to some sources, Dobra gora also has a mythological symbolism; in the Middle Ages, the inhabitants of the surrounding area would go to its summit to bless their horses, and even before that, they would go there to worship the pagan good Perun.
