Eisenhut

Description of peak:
Eisenhut is the highest peak in Gurktal Alps with a height of 2441 metres, the Alps stretching in the Krka / Gurk river basin, descending northwards to the valley of the Mura / Mur river. On the summit there is a cross with a registration box. The view from the top is quite extensive and extends from Karawanks, Kamnik Savinja Alps, Julian Alps, through the Karnian and Gailtaler Alps to the High and Lower Tauern and the nearby Lavanttal Alps, but the most beautiful are of course the views of the peaks of the Krkonoše Alps.
