Fürstenstand (Plabutsch)

Description of peak:
At 754 m, Fürstenstand is the highest peak of Plabutsch. It lies to the west of the city of Graz and rises about 400 m high.

At the top stands the lookout tower, which was conceived in 1830 after a visit by Emperor Franz I and his wife Caroline. Today, the tower is under monument protection.

The tower offers a beautiful view of the city of Graz and western Styria.

There is an inn next to the tower, which is reached by a 5 km long asphalt road and several marked hiking trails.
