Gerlitzen

Description of peak:
Gerlitzen is a 1,909-metre-high mountain located north of Lake Ossiach / Ossiacher See. The Gipfelhaus Hotel is located at the top, which can be reached by cable car, and the Alpin Hotel is a few metres lower. South of the summit there is a lookout point and a paragliding take-off. The mountain is known as a popular ski resort in winter, and in summer it is crowded with hikers, downhill bikers, paragliders, and a few mountaineers.
The view from the top extends from the nearby Kriški Alps, to the High and Lower Tauern, Karawanks, Kamnik Savinja Alps, Julian Alps, Carnic Alps, Zilj Alps...
