Kraspesspitze

Description of peak:
Kraspesspitze is a somewhat neglected 2954 m high mountain rising above the reservoir and the Finsterstal saddle. Unlike the nearby Sulzkogel, it is much less crowded than the latter, as it does not reach 3000 m, and consequently offers a quieter high-altitude alternative for the climb to the high mountains above Küchtai. There are two routes to the summit, neither of which is to difficult.
Although the view to the north-west is limited by the Sulzkogel and Zwölferkogel massifs, which dominate the view with Kraspesspitze, the summit offers a magnificent view towards the (south)west-lying champions of the Ötztal Alps, headed by the Wildspitze, towards Stubai Alps in the south and towards the upper part of the Sellraine valley with the Küchtai and the Finstertal lake below us. Part of the Inn valley and the Karwendel and Mieming mountain ranges above it are also visible.
