Hochobir (Ojstrc)

Description of peak:
Hochobir (Hochobir) is the highest peak of a small mountain range called Obir. It is located west of Železna Kapla (Eisenkappel) on the Austrian side of the Karavanke Mountains. From the lookout point on which the cross and the meteorological station are located, there is a beautiful view of the northern walls of the Košuta, part of the Kamnik and Savinja Alps, and to the north you can see the Lesser Obir (Kleinobir) and part of the Drava Valley (Dravská dolina). Obir is also known for its rich flora, which is not lacking on the mountain.
