Osternig (Ojstrnik)

Description of peak:
Osternig) is the easternmost peak in Carnic Alps, exceeding 2000m. It is located on the border between Austria and Itali, near Trbiž (Tarvisio). There is a cross on the eastern peak and a registration box on the right peak. The view from the grassy summit is very beautiful, as you can see Julian Alps, the eastern part of Carnic Alps, the High Tauern to the north and the western part of the Karavanke Mountains to the east.
