Description of waterfall:
Partisan hospital Franja is a former partisan war hospital located in the Pasice Gorge above Dolenjji Novaki. The hospital operated from the end of 1943 until May 1945. The hospital consists of a number of small wooden barracks, which are squeezed into the Pasice gorge.
On 18 September 2007, however, the wider Cerkno area was hit by a severe storm, which caused severe flash floding. At that time, the water carried away all but one shack. The Hudournik water also took with it all the objects that were stored in the barracks that served as a museum. To date, about 30% of the objects that were stored in the museum in Cerkno have been found.
After the flods in September 2007, the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the barracks began and the hospital was reopened to the public in 2010. The price for a visit to the Franja Hospital is €4 for adults and €2.50 for children (price list May 2011).
