Planinarski dom Zavižan

Description of mountain hut:
The House on Zavijan is located below the Vučjak Lookout Peak in the Sjeverni Velebit National Park. The house and its surroundings offer beautiful views towards the Kvarner Islands. The best views are of Goli Island and Rab, which are located to the west of the house. The nearby hills of the peaks to the north of Velebit (Velika Kosa, Veliki Zavižan and the barely visible Gromovača behind it, and a little further to the left, Zavižanski Pivčevac) are also visible. As the lodge is relatively small (30 beds), prior reservation is advisable. Near the home there is a meteorological station Zavižan, which is also the highest meteorological station in Croatia.
