Description of mountain hut:The mountain lodge, formerly a border guard post, is located on the Kolovrat road in Kanal, at an altitude of 740 m, and is managed by the Valentin Stanič Kanal Mountaineering Association. The hut is ideally located for hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists as well as for explorers of the remains of the First World War, along the former border with Itali. The ridge road and the peaks of the Kolovrat offer a wonderful view north across the Soča Valley to the Alps, and south across Veneto and the Monte Mataiur to the Friulian Lowlands all the way to the sea.

- From Volč via the Solarji saddle to the hut 12.5 km

- From Doblar along the Doblar valley to Pušný, right to the hut (partly macadam) 8.5 km
- From Ročinj to Kambreško through Srednje to the hut 12 km
- From Kanal to Liga on the ridge road through Kambreško and Srednje to the hut 19.5 km
- From Veneto - Itali - to Livko via Livske Plain to the hut
- over the Solarji saddle to the hut
