Description of peak:
Some of the many peaks of the Mežakla plateau, which belongs to Julian Alps, are interesting as lookout points. One of them is certainly the peak Police with a height of 1184 m, located on the southern edge of the plateau, west of the village Perniki. Especially in spring and late autumn, this rocky peak offers beautiful views in many directions. To the west, we can see the Julian Mountains from Kukova špica to Škrlatica, to the north we can see Karawanks from Kurjekov to Stol, and to the south we can look across the Pokljuka Gabrje wall towards the Bohinj Hills with the Black soil and Rodica, and towards Ratitovec. There is also a beautiful view of the Radovna valley, the village of Perniki and Cirque with part of Gorje, and the Mežakla plateau itself with mountain pasture Ravne and its peaks - Petelin, Oblek and Jerebikovec.
