Poštak

Description of peak:
Poštak (also "Kečina kosa") is a picturesque mountain at the crossroads of Lika and Dalmatia. It belongs to the Lika Plješivica mountain range as an extension of it, but some already consider it to be part of the long Dinaric mountain range. The largely uncultivated mountain is dominated by extensive plateaus and shorter cliffs, but there are also some interesting rock outcrops. From the grassy summit (1425 m) above the cliffs, located on the westernmost edge of the elongated ridge, there is a fine view over Lika, Dalmatia and the nearby mountains - Velebit, Dinara, Plješivica and Osječenica, which already belongs to BiH. A few minutes below the spacious summit there is a box with a registration book and the stamp of the "Hrvatske planinarske obilaznice" (HPO).
